Pick a Pocket or Two

Hands up if you’ve tried the bag organiser but constantly find yourself dumping the contents of your oversized tote to find small change at the bottom. Hence why I adore pretty dresses with the functionality of having pockets. Rachel Gilbert’s Lola is oh so pretty and has two! With baby in tow, I shove a couple of gold coins, credit/eftpos card and the ever most important binky into said pockets and off I go.

Sink Your Teeth

Being a huge fan of Anne Rice’s Vampire literature and movies, I am not too ashamed to say I do like the Twilight movie saga though their intended audience is much younger… sigh… I am however not too old to be sporting Marnie Skillings’ New Vampire dress – a simple, sexy racer back maxi with soft ruffles down the side. Great with a pair of flat sandals for balmy nights on the beach or a pair of Louboutins for a night on the prowl. Robert Pattinson eat your heart out!

Make a Splash

How I long for a good stretch of warm sunny days! Though I know our reservoirs need the rain, I have been cooped up at home with bubs for the past seven and a half months. Little Nate is such a different baby when he’s out in the fresh air. Meanwhile for those of you about to jet off to the tropics, Camilla & Marc’s swim and resort collection has come ashore. Their resort collection includes light cotton mini and maxi dresses in sweet floral or animal prints.

Take a Bow

My late father, in his government posts, sported well tailored suits near seven days a week and boasted a collection of some 500 ties. Amongst his conservative wardrobe, he had a penchant bow ties which I found really quirky. A bow tie was one of the last gifts I ever gave to him. The apple doesn’t fall far from a tree so I love bows on bags, shoes and dresses. Rachel Gilbert puts a playful, youthful spin on her Talia dresses with a giant bow at the bodice.
